The Southern PEACE III Partnership

Building Positive Relations ata Local LevelThe Southern PEACE III Partnership is the delivery mechanism for Theme 1.1 of Priority 1 of the PEACE III Programme in the council cluster of Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon and Newry and Mourne. Theme 1.1 – Building Positive Relations at Local Level aims to challenge attitudes towards sectarianism and racism and to support conflict resolution and mediation at the local level.

The Southern PEACE III Partnership has developed a strategic plan ‘Beyond Tolerance’ for the period 2007-2010 which will contribute to the objectives of the PEACE III Programme by promoting attitudinal and behavioural change among the residents of the area, ultimately leading to a more peaceful and stable society.

Within the strategic plan ‘Beyond Tolerance a number of individual programmes have been developed which will be implemented across the Southern area and border areas of Counties Louth and Monaghan.
